Q: Aperture naming format?

how can I get aperture to name my projects automatically using the date like 2012-07-01 rather than Jul 01, 2012?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 27" imac i7, 16 GB of ram and 1 TB

If you're looking to do this on import the answer is you can't with standard Aperture.

You can use an import script to do this. See Aperture Import Action Scripts for a script that will do what you are looking for or else search the list here for other discussions concerning this topic.
