Jul 13, 2012 1:08 PM in response to Leyahlisciousby wegras, who is the broadband provider
and are you still receiving with new set up
-
Jul 13, 2012 1:18 PM in response to wegrasby Leyahliscious,The broadband provider is Talk Talk. Yes I can still receive emails on this
-
Jul 13, 2012 1:29 PM in response to Leyahlisciousby wegras,Ok
have a look on talktalk site and get their smtp settings and go to add server (in SMTP settings of mail account )
with those and add it
TT may be blocking outgoing over their network unless it uses their smtp servers
(usually the issue)
the iPad will try 1&1 first then move on to TT setting )
You do have a 1&1 hosted mail account ....correct

Jul 13, 2012 1:54 PM in response to Leyahlisciousby wegras,If an Apple store is near always the best way if you get to this point
It is however very unlikely to be an Apple issue it is a very common problem
caused by carriers and broadband providers
so approached correctly I am sure a genius will happily help with correcting
the set up for you .....have a good trip

Oct 16, 2012 8:09 AM in response to Leyahlisciousby Andrew Start,Hi there,
I'm also experiencing this exact same problem.
My broadband is with Sky, and my 3G is with '3'. I experience this problem regardless of which provider I am connected with (wireless or 3G, at home or connected out and about).
As Leyah said, the 1and1 email accounts work perfectly well with the same settings from the iPhone, just not with iPad.
So looking at all this it would suggest it's the iPad that is causing the problem.
I'd be really keen to hear what solutions are suggested. Leyah please post if you managed to get it sorted.
Thanks,
Andrew
