Q: Back clipper problems.

Hi I recently got a new IPod shuffle 4th generation as a gift but I notice a problem straight after i unbox it. there was a defect on the back clipper bad dent and the clipper feels rough and weird compaired to my friend's, by any chance I could get them to repair or replace the clipper?

P/S: Got it as a gift I don't have the receipt.

Apple can determine purchase date based on serial number, so you should be able to get it replaced if there's a defect (even a cosmetic one). I don't think they will repair it; they will probably exchange it for a replacement.

If you have an Apple Store nearby, you can make a reservation at the Genius Bar. If not, you should contact Apple using the Contact Us link at the bottom right corner of this web page.

NOTE: The serial number on a 4th gen shuffle is really small; the location is shown in this article
