I ask because I got an iPhone 4S after my Nokia N95. When I had it, I used to sync my 700+ phone book entries with Outlook (2010).

After getting iPhone, I could import this Outlook backup onto the new phone normally, then I eventually added a few new contacts to my book, naturally. When I get to icloud, I see only these added manually after I got the phone uploaded (synced).

How to make all the 700 to go on the cloud? Thanks!

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

Are the contacts you want to upload to iCloud on your phone or in Outlook?

first´╝îmake sure that your 700+ book entries all from outlook2010, other than some email accout ,such as yahoo account or gmail account.Since when you add these email accouts to your iphone ,and open the address list icon of these accouts, there will be all your address list imported by these email accouts.

and when you open the address book icon on your iphone's icloud setting,of course ,your iphone will upload those you added manually, other than those address list saved on your email accout.

The only thing you have to do is the following.

    Go to Settings>iCloud>

Make sure the contacts are turned on (Green=on, Gray=off)

Then, scroll all the way down and tap on Storage & Backup>Backup now. This will back up all the contacts in your phone to iCloud.

To verify that your contacts are in the Cloud, log in to and check your contacts.

I can appreciate your wanting to help, however before you post, make sure that you look at the date. This thread is over a year and a half old. I would hope the OP would have gotten things taken care of now. Just make sure threads are current before you post.
