These are all standard troubleshooting steps. I think that you did a coupe of them, but just in case, give them a try.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Quit all apps and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus ➖ sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.

Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

For Safari crashes .....Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

If none of these help, them restoring your device would most likely be the next step and if that doesn't work, take it to an Apple Store and let them evaluate the device. If it is bad, they will replace it for you. Make an appointment at a Genius Bar before you go, it's better than just walking in off of the street.

I don't totally understand your last post. Is the iPad behaving properly now? I wasn't real clear on what you meant about the apps issue anyway, so do you need further clarification?

How are you app switching? ... If that is what you are asking about.

I switch in between the apps by making use of the task bar with multi touch . When i switch from safari to mail i got a black screen in between. It is not happening everytime anymore. It happened when i switch on and switched from safari to mail. After that it did not happen everytime. I hope i made clear now. Do you know if this is normal or is there something wrong with the iPad .

Well it's not normal behavior. I can tell you that. You should not get a black screen when you switch apps via the task bar.

It is very difficult to say if there is soemthing wron with the iPad - especially of it only happens once in a while. Maybe restrting the device or resetting it helped clear the memory and that will return it to normal behavior again.

Did you close all open apps and try again after that?
