Jul 14, 2012 10:20 AM in response to léonieby darenrobbins,Leonie, wow, thanks for the heads-up. I wouldn't have caught that until months down the road. Luckily I hadn't dispensed of my original Aperature library and using Catnip's solution was able to merge my two libraries together.

iPhoto library is 106GB and contains 25.000 images. It's on an external disk, as I'm rebuilding everything after a hard drive crash. I guess I'll wait for an upgrade from Apple before doing this.

Tried to rebuild the iphoto library but only made things worse...

Aug 2, 2012 11:04 PM in response to mintchocicecreamby doctor jay78,The latest aperture update (3.3.2) seems to solve the problem for me, with only a slight increase from 56GB to 73GB (down from 380GB).
Give it a try...
