Q: My Ipod Nano has been charging for more than 3 hours and it still hasn't charged all the way.  Note: you should know I got the IPOD as a gift in 2009 and this is the first time I have done anything with it.

I have an IPOD NANO that I got for a present in 2009.  I have never used it and am now trying to charge the battery.  I am doing exactly what the manual says, except the manual said it would take about 3 hrs for the first charge.  It is still showing the "charging" window and it has been over 5 hrs. when I say charging window it is the one that shows a battery with a lightning bolt and the green keeps flashing upward. Any suggestions? Could the battery be bad?

Lithium ion batteries need to be exercised with at least one full charge cycle per month or they will die. After 3 years with no use I would say yours is pretty much dead, or at least on life support. Call the priest and put a new battery in it.
