Apple how can I have faster render times on the new FCP X like the older versions of FCP. I'm currently using a MacBookPro with a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, L2 Cache of 3MB, Memory of 4GB with a NVIDIA geForce 8600 GT with 256 MB RAM.

If anyone knows how to increase the render times on this laptop please let me know.

thanks.

There is nobody from Apple on this forum.

We are all Mac users just like you.

Use an external hard drive and make sure that your computer's hard drive is no more than 75% full.

Hide projects and events you are not working on.

    Shutdown every other application.

FCPX likes to have higher memory, you could go for another 4 GB.

Another reason, need to be confirmed by others too, could be due to the skimmer being active while the rendering is taking place. This is a personal observation and I have found the render time hasten after I turn the skimmer off.
