Jul 19, 2012 4:40 PM in response to shippersmby captfred,Push it in a little, let go, it'll pop out.
Actually that's not correct for the mac, Click the little eject icon on Finders siderbar and then just pull it out.

Jul 19, 2012 4:47 PM in response to shippersmby Matt Clifton,You put an SD card in the DVD slot? I think you need to remove it very carefully, with tweezers.

Jul 19, 2012 4:51 PM in response to shippersmby captfred,My apologies, Totally misread the question..
Turning the Mac on it's side and using gravity with tweezers or double stick tape on a ruler can work.

Jul 20, 2012 7:03 AM in response to shippersmby Joe Pyrdek,First CAREFULLY flip the iMac on its side with the slot facing straight down and see if you are lucky enough to have the card fall out. Maybe give it a GENTLE shake. (It probably will not but you may just get lucky.) If it does not fall out proceed as below.
If you CAREFULLY take a paper clip and bend about 1/4" (~6mm) into a right angle with the remaining being straight, turn off the computer (and unplug it for insurance that you don't accdentaly turn it on) and insert the clip into the drive slot just a bit higher than the long dimension of the SD card and carefully lower it with the short leg pointed straight down and gently pull the paper clip straight out, you can usually retrieve the card without damge to the drive.
If you feel resistance when pulling the clip out, STOP, raise the clip slightly and get the clip out and then try again.

Jul 20, 2012 7:11 AM in response to shippersmby RRFS,The best solution I have seen in these forums is to cut out an L shaped hook using card stock or a cereal box. Carefully slide it into the DVD slot far enough to reach over the top of the SD card. Hook it and pull it out.
