I purchased two seasons of one TV show using iTunes on my iPad, but the two seasons only appear on my Apple TV. I like watching on my 60" plasma HD TV, but it's a bear to carry with me, so I would love to watch on my Macbook Pro. Trouble is, the two seasons aren't available.

did you go to your itunes on your macbook and go to purchased? See if it there. If not, try going to the name of the show in the store. Select it, and (if in usa) should be FREE to download. Just download it that way(long way). Check purchases first.

If its the same APPLE STORE ID then its there somewhere for you to download. Purchased,Searching for it, or checking available downloads in itunes on comp.

Your macbook might not be set for automatic downloads in your itunes....

On your computer, click on the Purchased link in the Quick Links section of the iTunes Store, and then click on the new TV Shows header. You can view your entire purchase history, or just what's not currently on your computer. On iPhone and iPod touch, use the Purchased button in iTunes and tap TV shows for a list of your purchases. Tap "All TV Episodes" to navigate through your library by episode and show, and use the cloud download buttons to download what you want. On iPad use the Purchased tab on the lower right in iTunes and then the View button on the upper left and choose TV Shows to browse your library. As with the iPhone and iPod touch, use the cloud download buttons to download what you want.

Nice to know. Haven't bought seasons yet, so I didn't know. Thanks for helping too.

I had same problem with brand new ipad whose OS I updated immediately upon purchase. Apple support gave me this fix (accidentally, in the manner of kicking the bushes to see if a bunny rabbit runs out)

    • instead of going to "purchased" go to TV shows in the store as if you were going to buy a new one
    • select the show or shows you have already bought
    • this presents you a list of shows available for download, which you can select.
    • Download begins, presto.

his explanation was they've been doing a lot of updates lately and they shut certain functions down while that is happening.
