Jul 22, 2012 11:11 AM in response to trevor.utby Viscosity,You can redeem iTunes gift cards by clicking "Redeem" under Quick Links at the top right of the iTunes store.
Gift card credit is automatically used before your debit card, so there is no need to remove it. After your credit is used your debit card will be charged again.

Jul 22, 2012 11:31 AM in response to Viscosityby Glitterrieko,I have credit on my iTunes and when I try purchasing it goes straight to update billing info so it is a good thing I didn't purchase a$50 dollar card which wouldn't work at all.

Apple TVHaving a gift card doesn't negate the need to have alternative payment information, it will use any credit you have first.
