Q: Your payment method was declined

Im really getting ****** off. I keep getting "Your payment method was declined" when I try to purchase an e-mail voucher for a friend. I have spent 2.5 hours trying to solve this, I know how much my friend would appreciate it else I would tell apple to get fu$%ed since getting help does not seem possible. I have tried 2 different accounts. I just want to buy a freaking voucher or punch an apple employee. Anyone know what is going on?

    I am at loss, I have got apple id and everything fine. The thing is I can download any free apps with no problem but I couldn't able to buy apps with my credit card. I use debit at the moment. Is there anything I can do?

    My payment method keeps getting declined and Im getting very irritated now I got a new credit card and it keeps telling me payment method declined ??

    i bought now 1 at (22nd july )11 50pm then when i tryed 2 buy now 82 at (23rd july)12;10am it said my card has been declined

    In my case was the same "Your payment method was declined" but I have realized that I have in my Visa a dayly limit of transactions set! That was a reason why the payment method was rejected . Apple was trying to get more then limit . After I have increased it everything has back to normal.

    What has worked  for me has been cancel my master card  as a payment  method (select "none" and confirm) and then register it again. Hope it helps.

    I have encountered this problem and it has left me increasingly annoyed. Due to my own personal change in banking I came to update my account only to have it declined. After trying to revert back to my previous card that was also declined and now I am left with using none. I have emailed apple after getting annoyed with the automated phone support service. Keyboard sound effects Apple, really? That doesn't say billion dollar company.

    What is the point of religiously purchasing Apple hardware when the very spine of it is this now flawed account? If I cannot rectify this soon Apple will be getting no more custom from me purely because they have physically declined me from doing so.

    It really is about the money you have sat in your  bank account. I had the same issue even though i only wanted to download free apps. i had around £1.60 in my account and as soon as i transfered £10 to my main account everything worked well and i could download the app without a problem. This is def stupid system to have certain amount of money in bank account only if I want to download free stuff. So ppl make sure you have some money sat in your bank account if you want to download anything. This trully *****!

    I got a same issue here too!!! Geez... I just bought only 0.99 stuff in iTunes, My bank called me payment is though! But iTunes is keep giving me this sentence [Your payment method was declined]

     

    I had sign in & sign out from apple ID, and change credit card, and create a new acc. again... etc! And Email to iTunes support!!! I have no idea what can I do now. Sob sob... :'(

    I had bought only a 0.99 stuff from iTunes. But it just kept gave me this notes [Your payment method was declined]!!! Can iTunes PLEASE do help me to sort it out? Because I can't updates & download any apps!!!! Please and please help me to sort it out!!! Thanks.

    Well I fixed the issue for myself. I simply transferred £100 into my current account of the debit card that I wanted to use. That let me add it without it being declined! Surprise, surprise.

    This was after two days of getting nowhere with the email support from iTunes however. They sure do like explaining every single click of a mouse to add a card yet they refuse to accept that the error is theirs!

    I had this issue with my MasterCard, pretty out of the blue, since I bought a song earlier today. What solved my problem was updating my phonenr. Strange, but it worked.

    I think that Apple is not being forthright about why this is happening.  I suspect that the real reason why this keeps happening to so many of us has nothing to do with our credit cards or account information and more to do with a security measure on Apple's part.  For instance, if i purchase something from one of my previous Apple products using the exact same information then it works without a hitch.  But on my newest ipad(this will is my third - I've had two computers, at least two ipones, and more than three ipods) i cant solve the issue.  And Ive tried all these 'solutions' as well.  I've even called Apple and the guy was ' at a lost'.  My conclusion - once again Steve is trying to control everything from the grave but he doesn't want us to STOP BUYING APPLE PRODUCTS.

    I'm suffering from the same problem, I've got 5 updates to install, and I've checked, double, triple and quadruple checked that my billing info is correct and it is, but it keeps replying with "Your payment method was declined. Please select another payment" It's very annoying and it isn't the first time, I thought it was a problem with my wi-fi at work but it isn't, they need to sort this out, I've been suffering for over a week now, it needs sorting!
