Jul 25, 2012 8:27 AM in response to hyndmanby Anthony Shaw1,How can you tell it sticks at 53.25MB? I mean, is there somewhere to check the progress apart from watching the progress bars in the mountain lion symbol or in the Launchpad icon? Mine are still pea-sized and haven't lengthened in 30 minutes.

Jul 25, 2012 8:32 AM in response to Anthony Shaw1by Screaming.Pict,Anthony- if you go to the purchases tab you will see it.
It seems that most people are getting a slow but steady download. However there's a couple of us in the UK who find it just hangs or returns an error when it hits 53.25MB.

Jul 25, 2012 8:46 AM in response to diverterby Monty1945,Greetings,
I downloded ML about an hour and a half ago, and it took 33 minutes to complete the download. It started off slow, as yours did, but then it took right off.
Install time was short, but I didn't time it - maybe 25 minutes. All is working as advertised, so far. I've never had a problem with any of the new OS X versions, but then I clear caches, do a repair permissions, shut down running startups, etc, before I install major updates.
Cheers,
M.

Jul 25, 2012 8:47 AM in response to diverterby Screaming.Pict,Hyndman- I connected to my Mac at home and re-ran the purchase there and the download has happily run straight past the 53.25MB level that we were hitting. My download at work is still dying at 53.25MB so it must be something to do with the specific Apple download server that our ISPs are connecting to (the download was failing through Verizon and BT, working on a different machine at home through Virgin Media).

Jul 25, 2012 8:52 AM in response to diverterby taboozed,One more in the UK. Tried on two Macs - both stop at 53.25MB.
Best spent £13.99 ever.

Jul 25, 2012 9:29 AM in response to taboozedby Screaming.Pict,Taboozed, hyndman; What connections are you using?
In my case I'm behind an ISA2007 firewall.
Taboozed- if you can find a different mac on a different connection then that's your best bet (get the App store to download the installer and then copy it over with a memory stick). Small hope, I know, but it's all I can suggest.

Jul 25, 2012 9:34 AM in response to Screaming.Pictby tabooze,I'll try when I get home. I'm on BT both at home and work, so I'm not holding great hopes. Hoping someone may fix it by tomorrow, don't really want to waste hours trying to fix it myself.
Thanks

Jul 25, 2012 9:40 AM in response to taboozeby Screaming.Pict,Tabooze - I'm wondering if it's something to do with my corporate firewall as this is a problem that others have had with other apple downloads from the office. The only weird thing for me was that it was happening when I then connected to our BT broadband test network as well, but it could be that the first download somehow tainted something so that switching to the broadband connection didn't help.

Jul 25, 2012 9:53 AM in response to Screaming.Pictby hyndman,Ahhh haaaa. Looks as if BT may have issues. That was the ISP at work where I was failing. Wonder of they are deliberately blocking. I am off home to merrily install on Virgin Media I hope.

Jul 25, 2012 10:02 AM in response to hyndmanby Screaming.Pict,Don't jump too high- if it were BT issues we'd be seeing a lot more than the 4 of us with this issue. Additionally my initial download attempt was on my office's Verizon MPLS connection (although they could be using a BT exit to the Interwebs).
