oracle virtual box

i have windows vista running on oracle virtual box. will i have to reinstall virtual box after upgrading to mountain lion?

    You may need to upgrade the software for compatibility but otherwise, VirtualBox and any VMs you have will remain in the state they were in prior to the upgrade.

    They "should", however a clone is your safest bet to keeping everything status quo, and preferably two.  See my tip on upgrading:

    There is always the risk something either may be incompatible, or hardware may fail during the upgrade process, due to no issues with the update itself.
