Jul 25, 2012 9:57 AM in response to Jennifer Edwardsby whitewater2,All the new notes should be on the Air.
There is millions of people downloading Mountain Lion, so there could be some down time of icloud stuff from time to time.

Jul 25, 2012 10:00 AM in response to Jennifer Edwardsby whitewater2,Did you sign out if Icloud on your Air then in with your newer .me address?
-
Jul 25, 2012 10:03 AM in response to whitewater2by fullme,I did sign out of icloud on my mac book air and back in again but i used my normal icloud username and password and not the "new" .me address and that worked.

Jul 25, 2012 12:51 PM in response to fullmeby sildani,I am having a similar problem, except it's a little more down stream.
I have enabled Notes for iCloud and created an @me address upon being prompted. (I think this is because Apple uses @me addresses as the key to sync Notes on iCloud, even though you can have any e-mail address as an iCloud username.)
But now on my phone, when I go to Notes, and then click back to Accounts (top left) I see three entries:
All Notes
On my iPhone
iCloud
On my phone has all my notes that I've created over the years. iCloud has none. This is expected.
But what is troubling is that now when I go into Mail, the "Reminders" section is gone. I have no way to access my "On my iPhone" notes from Mail any more.
How can I get these notes over to iCloud? I've tried signing in and out of iCloud and rebooting my device as previously suggested. This didn't work.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Jul 25, 2012 1:15 PM in response to sildaniby whitewater2,I am re-reading your post again to see which ones are not synching correctly.
I believe that now that your Notes are synched up, everything is done from the Notes app, nothing in Mail anymore.
If you use the Reminders App they should be in there now instead of from Mail.

Jul 25, 2012 1:16 PM in response to sildaniby fullme,There is a seperate (new) reminders app that should show the reminders that are missing from mail.. I believe they just moved them.

Jul 25, 2012 1:18 PM in response to whitewater2by sildani,I should have been more clear.
Before in OS X 10.7 (Lion), I had access to the Notes "on my iphone" via Mail.app. There was a section named "Reminders" and then the Notes would be there "on my mac".
See: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17701065#17701065 to see what I mean.
I do not see this in Reminders.app in Mountain Lion, either.

Jul 25, 2012 1:21 PM in response to sildaniby whitewater2,Reminders is in Mountain Lion for sure! I am using it now.
If you log into icloud.com, do you see the notes section?
On your Mac, you have tried this. I havent tried this on ML, as I use the Notes.App.
Mail > Prefs > Accounts > (your account) > Mailbox Behaviors > Notes >Show Notes in Inbox

Jul 25, 2012 1:42 PM in response to whitewater2by jeffbriant, having the same issue, shut icloud off then on again... nothing happened, just took a while for my iphone to RE sync NOTHING. argh.
-
Jul 25, 2012 1:46 PM in response to jeffbriantby sildani,Yeah, my problem is very specific. To reiterate:
I have notes in my iPhone that are categorized as "On my iPhone" that aren't iCloud. These used to be accessible via Mail.app in OS X 10.7 (Lion). Now on OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), I cannot see these notes anymore in Mail.app. And they are not present in Notes.app or Reminders.app either.
I enabled iCloud on my iPhone to see if my notes would switch over, but they stay categorized as "On my iPhone" and don't move over to "iCloud." The iCloud syncing is working fine, I can create new notes in the iCloud account and I can then see them in my Mac.
My concern are my already-existing notes. Years worth. Mailing them one by one is not feasible.

Jul 25, 2012 1:50 PM in response to sildaniby whitewater2,sildani,
I feel your pain. I ended up taking some time emailing myself my previous notes. There has to be a better solution.
-
Jul 25, 2012 1:52 PM in response to whitewater2by sildani,Even if I could do a couple a minute, it would take me several hours straight to do this.
The notes aren't lost. They are in my iPhone and I suspect on my Mac, too. I think Notes.app should be showing them but itsn't.
And for added information, I've also tried syncing my iPhone via iTunes in case it made a difference, but it hasn't as far as I can tell.

hmmn, well Notes will not be in your Gmail account, as its Apple specific and tied to your iCloud account.
As soon as I create a Note on my ipad, iphone, Mac or from www.icloud.com, all my devices are synched up.
