Well I filled in the form
got me code and received the duplicate error same as everyone else
Sent an email to Apple tech and got a responce which is exactly what I expected and I will wait till they resolve the situation as noted.
Here is my Apple reply
Good day! My name is Hanna and I am an App Store advisor. I'm sorry to hear that you received an invalid redemption code for the Mountain Lion Up-to-Date program. I know how frustrating it must be. I sincerely apologize for any frustration this may have caused you.
Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported. You will receive an email, along with a new redemption code after the matter has been investigated and further information is available. Please note that you do not need to resubmit a claim to the Up-to-Date webpage (http://www.apple.com/osx/uptodate/) if you have submitted one already.
Once again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If there's anything else you require assistance with, please let me know.

I'm in the US; got a code this AM and like the rest of you it doesnt work. Was told those who obtained a code before the offical launch will recieve new codes, those who recieved codes today should keep trying using codes they obtained after 12:01AM 7/25. This is messed up, apple is losing its touch for the details that made them great over the years.

I've been told my claim is being investigated and will be told within 5-7 days whether i will receive a new code or not. 1 day old macbook pro and im not impressed

Where do you submit your complaint? I have been trying to search Apple to submit a complaint about my code that "has already been used" but i dont know where or how to contact Apple??

I wasn't gonna answer, but since I read ALL posts, I think I must.
Not sure they did this on purpose, but this IS A SHAME.
I'm also a new Apple user and must say... I can't honestly think they can keep this leadership going for too long.
It really seems that Steve Jobs, crazy as he was, was the only one preventing crappy software from being released to the public (critics on Lion) and that could impose some respect on some problems like the one we're having.
I guess my timing ***

thats not true. if they were just trying to get everyone to buy it than some of us wouldn't have received the code and been able to download it with no problems. Also, A LOT of people hav received their second redemption code in order to re-download mountain lion.

Do you know for sure others have recieved there second code? I tried this morning got a code and was told to keep using my old code and hopfully in the next 24-72 hours it should work.

Yes, 6 people that I personally know have already received their 2nd redemption code. They received their 2nd code because their first code wouldn't work again after the download froze. They contacted CS and they received a 2nd code. They were told that receiving the new code may take up to 72 hours because of how many new codes were being sent out. They all seemed to receive it within 4 hours of ending their convorsation with CS. I should add that there are 3 other people I know that are still waiting on their 2nd code.

I should also add that, personally I am still waiting for my 1st redemption code. But, they stated it can take up to 72 Hours before I recieve it. So, if I dont get it by sat/sun than I will make a call.

Thanks for the heads up, I got this email from apple (see below) and your right its going to take up too 72 hours per apple rep to get it. I was told one code went to 15k people this AM and its a total mess.

All valid claims will receive a new, valid redemption code by email. There is no need to submit another claim.
We greatly appreciate your patience while this issue is being resolved.
