Jul 25, 2012 5:42 PM in response to YPPby Blueberry,★HelpfulYes, a very well known issue, mentioned many times in this forum:
- upgrade to MainStage 2.2.2
- downgrade to 10.7.3 (via a backup)
- remove the toolbar item with the CPU/MIDI/MEMORY meter
- upgrade to 10.8 (which also fixes it)

Jul 27, 2012 11:23 PM in response to YPPby dhjdhj,I've got a big gig coming up in B.B. King in a few weeks and I've been agonizing over what to do to minimize risk of failure. I'd certainly be nervous about updating to 10.8 before ensuring that all needed plugins will work perfectly fine.
However, the big change I made last week was to replace my hard drives with SSDs. That eliminates a lot of the risk of failure due to vibration (and possible problems from loud bass as well).
I was a bit nervous but after cloning both my drives and then installing the SSDs, everything worked fine. The only thing I had to reauthorise was MOTU Digital Performer and MS Office. All my synth plugins (from native instruments, Gforce, AAS, Arturia and others) just continued to work fine.
Bonus....my laptop is running much cooler (which is always good) and it's also noticeably more responsive.
