I installed Mountain Lion today.  I like a lot about it, but I think if Steve Jobs were alive he'd be firing all the people who worked on iCloud for Mac.  What a world of hurt.

I can't get pages documents on my Mac to synce with iCloud.  I've tried several different methods of moving documents into the Pages iCloud directory, but in all cases the file just sits there in 'waiting' mode.  Waiting for what?  Godot?

Here's a screen capture - the file on the left is the 'waiting' file:

Any suggestions are welcome.  Issues like this are why DropBox has a future... it just works.  iCloud is so much non-intuitive pain.

Please help.

Update:  It must be due to a setting on my iMac somewhere.  Everything seems to be working just fine on my MacBook air.

Update:  I tried something posted by member Winston Churchill in another thread and it fixed the problem for me.

    Here's what I did:

"Navigate to Macintosh HD > library > preferences > system configuration and drag the 'Networkinterfaces.plist' file to the trash and restart the mac. Now try again."

iCloud for Mac running Mountain Lion and the latest versions of iWork is now properly syncing for me.

How do you "Navigate to Macintosh HD"?

I am having the same issue, though mine appears to be a bit more complicated as all my documents except one are showing as "waiting".

The first iPad test document was created on my iPad and the Self evaluations folder was created on my iPhone. So, at least some portion of iCloud is working somewhat properly.

    I used the steps:

"Navigate to Macintosh HD > library > preferences > system configuration and drag the 'Networkinterfaces.plist' file to the trash and restart the mac. Now try again."

    It did not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as now I can no longer access the documents with an "x" on my iMac.

    Thanks

"How do you "Navigate to Macintosh HD"?"

    1.  Open the finder.

    2.  If you don't have a sidebar showing on the left, go into the Finder 'View' menu and select "show sidebar".

    3.  If you still don't have the compter's hard disk showing up in the sidebar, go into the Finder menu and select "preferences".  Select the "Sidebar" tab at the top and then select the "hard disks" option in the devices section.

Now you should see your Mac's hard disk in the left hand sidebar whenever you open a finder window.

I discovered during my investigation that iWork would not talk to iCloud at all.  The apps that were showing as sync'd were files that were sync'd using iTunes before my problem started after upgrading to Mountain Lion.  iCloud was working fine for all non-iWork apps, which was very atrange.

I didn't ever have any files with Xs in the corner so something is different with your issue.

BTW, there is one more step I did.  I think it's unrelated so I didn't mention it previously, but just in case...

    1.  When I went into my Mac's system preferences and looked under "Network", there were a couple of Samsung Modem entries.  I had helped a friend upgrade her Galaxy Note to ICS recently, so installing the Samsung Kies application must have added those entries.  I deleted these network entries before doing the restart that fixed my problem.  I'm pretty sure it's unrelated, but you never know.

I'm having the same issue.  Many documents in "waiting" mode.  I tried deleting the plist file as mentioned in this thread, but that didn't work.  Any other ideas?

"Waiting" means the app can't contact iCloud.  Something is blocking the connection.

Any idea what may be blocking the connection?

If I go to System Preferences>iCloud>Manage>Pages, I can see all of the documents in iCloud that I am able to access on my Mac Mini, iPhone and iPad.

But, for whatever reason, they're not getting handed off to Pages on my iMac.

I'm having the exact same problem.  Everything syncs fine at home, iPad, iPhone, but I can not get the files to sync on my work computer.  Reminders, calendar, contacts work, however iCloud documents will not. I'm running Authoxy (latest version).  Any suggestions?

Are you running Mountain Lion and did you try this already:

"Navigate to Macintosh HD > library > preferences > system configuration and drag the 'Networkinterfaces.plist' file to the trash and restart the mac. Now try again."

Yes, I'm running ML at home and at work.  I went to system config, however the 'Networkinterfaces.plist' file wasn't there. Only file in the folder is 'com.apple.PowerManagement.plist'

It sounds like you're missing some configuration info.  Here's what I have in my System Configuration folder:

Or maybe not.  Maybe these are specific to my iMac setup.

Maybe someone else can offer suggestions for next steps.

I determined ... With Apple's help ... That my problem was Intego's VirusBarrier software. Once I updated that, everything works like a charm.
