Q: Apple hardware test does not finish

Running apple hardware test on my 27" iMac.

Has been running for oer 30 minutes.

Stuck at the same point. Drive is making noises periodically.

Not sure what to expect.

I have to enabled the extended testing.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Be patient. Let it finish. It could take an hour or more. When it finishes or you lose patience, contact Apple Service, iMac Service or Apple's Express Lane to resolve any found issues. Do note that if you have AppleCare's protection plan and you're within 50 miles (80 KM) of an Apple repair station, you're eligible for onsite repair since yours is a desktop machine.
