Hey All, So I've just installed mountain lion on my macbook pro, However I've been running into an issue of frequent (like 3-5 times per day) crashes. The screen simply just goes black and the computer restarts. Any idea what the issue could be? Here is the panic report attached:

There are two kernel extensions you have:

    com.paceap.kext.pacesupport.snowleopard          5.7.2

    at.obdev.nke.LittleSnitch          2.4.0

I don't know what pace is.

But there's also Little Snitch.  You should try unstalling both of those applications and seeing if the crashes go away.  I'm 95% certain that one of these is causing the problem.  Incompatible kernel extensions are the #1 cause of kernel panics on OS X, by a long shot.

Start up in Safe mode (holding down Shift key). If no crashes in Safe mode it is probably a driver issue. Most probably related to com.paceap.kext.pacesupport.snowleopard.

    Pace anti-Piracy?

Note from this thread, it looks like the Pace software has been causing crashes in OS X for a long time:

It looks like some type of copyright protection, likely a result of installing some software suite or another:

    Perhaps pace has an uninstaller.

It might be possible to go to /System/Library/Extensions and see if there's that paceap.kext in there and delete it and reboot, but I'm nervous about recommending this.

Well, rooting around and deleting files in /System/Library/Extensions is a great way to render your system totally unbootable.

Why don't you try typing this from a terminal prompt:

    sudo kextunload com.paceap.kext.pacesupport.snowleopard

See if it returns without error, and if so, see if your machine doesn't crash for a while.  That should unload that kernel extension and if it fixes the problem then after a day or two we can go about how to surgically remove that tick of a piece of software ;-)

Any ideas what is still causing the problem?

Would´t the next reasonable choice of removal be Pace? Or did you just not get rid all remnants of it.
