Hi I am using Safari 6.0 on OS X 10.7 and 10.8.  In both OSs, when I open Safari, it defaults to the last page I opened.

I went into Safari Preferences, under the General Tab, and set Homepage to my home page.  In addition, the New Windows Open with: dropdown and the New Tab Open with: dropdown are set to Homepage.  Yet, Safari continues to go to the last open web page, at start up.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?  Also, there is no home icon so that I can jump to the home page at any given time.  Is there a solution to that as well?

When quitting Safari, press the option key down.

    Best.

I have a MBP with 10.8.2 and Safari 6.0.1.  Recently had to have the RAM replaced, but since then and the upgrade to 10.8.2 nothing I can do will set my home page.  I have tried everything including holding down the option key when shutting Safari down.  No matter what I do Safari opens with the last page no matter if my home page is something else.

No problem with my MBA, just the MBP after it's upgrade to 10.8.2.

    Any ideas ... thanks.
