Q: Android file transfer

Is "android file transfer" the name of the app? Can you give a link to it? I might be able to check it out.

I'll check it out. You shouldn't need an app, though. I've always just connected my Android phones to my Mac using the included cable. They appear as (usually) two external drives, one is the phone and one is the SD card. I've been using Android phones for years and never even knew this app existed. I just drag on or off anything I need to.

Nope, it didn't detect my HTC Rezound. The phone and the SD card both appeared on the desktop and DropBox recognized it for photo syncing.

If you really feel the need for an app, I'd see if Marks Space's Mising Sync is updated for Mountain Lion. Not free but, when I've used it in the past, it's been excellent.

I suppose it's possible that there are Android devices that require it but I've never heard of or used one. See how it goes. Let me know if you have a problem and I'll try to help. We just won't tell anyone over in the iPhone forum.

I'll try to take my MBA to work tomorrow and check an S3. I'll let you know. It's a very nice phone but Samsung tends to have some, shall we say, idiosyncrasies.

Same problem here. Neither MTP nor PTP work, with our without Android File Transfer on Mountain Lion.

Guess that would help, eh? :-)
