Jul 29, 2012 1:38 PM in response to Mattparks5855by Neville Hillyer,There are also workarounds for all the Leopard requirements including memory.
Whilst Leopard can probably be installed it is likely to be slower than Tiger on this 350 MHz Mac.

Jul 29, 2012 7:28 PM in response to BDAquaby Mattparks5855,Ok 10.4 install disk 1 installs but when it reboots it does not ask for disk 2 it goes to disk 1
Ps 10.5 install disk modified does not work and in 10.4 installer it says it is a powermac g3 350mhz 612 ram
Sence it has only Ben made 2months and built with a g3 board would that mean lepord will now work that could be why when I try lepord it shows black text and a screen telling me to restart

Jul 29, 2012 7:34 PM in response to Mattparks5855by Limnos,G3s won't run Leopard. There's reports of some that have but it turned out they had been refitted with a G4 processor so they were really G4s in a G3 box.

Jul 30, 2012 12:19 AM in response to Mattparks5855by Neville Hillyer,All things considered I would not attempt to install Leopard on this Mac. Even if you overcome all the Leopard pre-install checks (there are more than just speed and RAM size) it will probably never perform as well as Tiger. As previously mentioned, Leopard cannot work on a G3 processor as it does not contain G3 code.
I don't understand why your Tiger install fails - perhaps try it again and report the result here in some detail.

Jul 30, 2012 10:03 AM in response to Mattparks5855by Neville Hillyer,It may be caused by damaged or non-standard hardware.
You could try:
- Cleaning the CD
- Resetting PRAM
- Removing and replacing optical drive and disk connections - with power removed
- Formatting the disk - this will destroy everything on the disk
