Hi,

I hvae upgraded to Mountain Lion and then did the update to Aperture 3.3.2. I am using Mail to send image from Aperture - better: used. If I selecht a single image and try to mail it, things work as expected. However, if I select more than one image, they show up in Mail, I can enter the email addressed buit the send button keeps being grey'ed out, ie I cannot send.

Anyone experiencing the same problem?

Thannks,

Draellme

    It's working here (10.8, 3.3.2, MacMail).

When it happens can you send a new message from Mail?

Any chance your message is simply too large to send?  (I get a warning in red test on the left of the line just under the header (one the right of the same line is the drop-down for resizing attached images).

    Odd

    Agreed.

Sorry -- nothing else comes to (my) mind.  It should work, and it works for me; what you're experiencing isn't right .

    Helmut,

how do you mail from Aperture? Select the images in the Browser and then use the toolbar icon or "File > Share > Email"? Or do you use the Media Browser from the Mail application to select the images to attach to your mail?

Both work fine for me on Mountain Lion.

Same here Draellme. Have used Aperture a LOT under Lion to email photos, resizing it directly in Mail. Now, using 3.3.2 Aperture's built-in Email, it creates the mail correctly, but can not resize, Send-button greyed out and can not even delete message! Something is definitely wrong here.

Tommy -- The Lion of the Mount moved the resize control to a line below the header in Mail.  Is it not showing?

    Thx Kirby.

It sure shows, no probs there. But I get a Resizing (null) error message to the left of the Image Size window.

    I have investigated further.

It does not work if you select two images next to each other (above errors appear, mail not deletable)

It works flawlessly with selecting three or more images next to each other (resize & send possible).

It works flawlessly with a single image (resize & send possible).

It works flawlessly with multiple images if randomly selected with holding Command key.

So, on my system it works APART from when you want to send two images next to each other. Weird!

Just came back from the next pic session. It actually also does not work with two images that are NOT next to one another  - at least not for me

Same here.  Clearly a bug.  Let's all send a bug report to Apple: "Aperture➞Provide Aperture Feedback".

    Tommy -- exactly.  Nicely spotted.

The work-around is simple: move one of the Images before selecting the pair.

    Aperture Feedback sent

Same on my system; ANY 2 photos can not be sent via email

I think this is more than a bug related to Aperture. I have a thread started about Mail seeming not to recognize jpeg attachments added using the normal "attach" option when I am replying to e-mails. I can attach, say, two 500kb jpegs, but the message size shown relmains at 10kb. This issue was not there before I upgraded to Mountain Lion.

    Hi Tomp2

I just saw that bug today in Mail too.

I sent a 722kb photo, and it showed up as 10kb. It did send the whole file though. But definitely another bug.

    Sandman,

Thanks. It's always great when someone else spots the same bug. Confirms I wasn't dreaming or just being inept!

Thanks for confirming that the photos do actually send in full. I hadn't taken the risk on trying that, because they were going to valued customers, and I didn't want to mess them about.

Reading these discussion forums, it's clear there are more than a few Mail bugs since the Mountain Lion upgrade.

I'm having the same problem sending two photo from Aperture to Mail. And yes, I have Mountain Lion. Never had this problem before.

    I'll send Feedback too.
