If it happens to be an Apple wireless router, we can probably tell you how to do this if you can provide the model number of the device.
You may also likely be required to enter a separate device password to even be able to change the settings, so it might be a good idea to have your friend nearby.

Apr 16, 2015 11:45 AM in response to Bob Timmonsby TexRoy,Bob,
I have a similiar problem.
I had my router reset by the vendor, Comcast, and had to change the password to get access to wi-fi.
Which I did, and it works great on my Macbook Air. However, my iPhone, which used to connect to my wi-fi at home no longer does.
I can understand why, because the previous wi-fi password was different the current PW.
How do I change the PW on my iPhone for my home network?
Roy

The wireless network you want to connect to should show up under the enable Wi-Fi option. Just select it and enter the appropriate Wi-Fi password for the network.

If you want to actually change the Wi-Fi password, you would need to do that at the Wi-Fi router itself. How you would do so would depend on the make & model of that device.
However, at this setting's location, you can remove, and then, recreate a Wi-Fi connection with the new Wi-Fi password set up by Comcast. Although, if that was the case, I would strongly suggest that you change that password to something that only you will know.
