I had this problem too.  Make sure you are on Admin user or remove parental controls.  One of those fixed it for me!

Hi, I have a similar problem that you, but in my case I am using Lion and the problem came up since upgrading Safari. Always I use my Mac like Admin user and never I installed the parental control, so I don´t know how can I do to resolve this. Anyone have any clue? Thanks!!

Could you kindly stop bouncing all these old threads back to the top? I understand you may think you are trying to help, but it's causing more problems for those who come here than it's worth.

Bouncing threads to the top? Causing what problems and to whom? Honestly, have no idea what you're talking about.

If the threads are old someone should take them down. Are you one of apple's geniouses working to keep their jobs by keeping everyone else in the dark? Why hasn't apple come out with a fix to this problem instead of leaving all these "old" threads lying around in their own support sites?

I've just downloaded 10.8.4 and having the same issue; checked all the suggested solutions , nothing works, the support suggested trashing library cache for app store but also no success-..
