If there is, then www.macperformanceguide.com will be one place that will - though ML is for "testing only" and probably rightly so
Remember the trouble with CS5 and 10.6.4 and ATI Radeon?
I'd register on MacRumors forum for Mac Pro too.
- This update addresses several Dreamweaver FTP issues reported by customers. The update improves Dreamweaver performance with Business Catalyst sites and provides a mechanism to open Adobe Proto files. It also includes usability improvements in the Find and Replace dialog box.
See this thread in the Adobe Photoshop forums ...
I was hoping Apple and Adobe would coordinate a fix via ML, but it's not looking very hopeful. It's really hard for me to believe - the Radeon 5770 is still the standard graphics card (as it was when I purchased my Pro a year ago), yet Apple's apparent policy is that this is a "deprecated" card and therefore exempt from fixing a major bug.
Count me one very unhappy customer of both companies.
Apple can't stick with an OS long enough for Developers to keep up, whether they want to or not.
So, strike one against Apple.
Apple has a history of poor graphics options and equally shady with regard to driver development.
Adobe has always "supported" Apple on Adobe's "own terms".
In the old days when Macs were limited in user number, somewhat understandable.
But now.... Strike against Adobe
Adobe has taken to a development/release cycle similar to that of Apple OS X, but fails to properly support the OS versions that it targets.
Strike 2 against Adobe.
Neither company really gives a crap about the user needs/desires. What is offered is what some marketing types (real world, yeah, right) decide a user "wants".
Strike 3 against both companies.
The user is out.
As a professional machine from Apple (Mac Pro 2.4Ghz) can not exploit all the features of the new photoshop CS6? I installed the new mountain lion and I can not use the Graphics Processor in Photoshop's preferences panel. Revolting!
The rhythm of work was severely compromised by conflict between ML, ATI Radeon 5770 and Photoshop CS6.
Which of the companies is responsible for the problem?
Isn't there suppose to be another Lion update just to deal with graphic drivers? Sorry, you need to upgrade to Mountain Lion?
how about a "here is a new GTX 670, we dropped ATI/AMD and went to Nvidia so for every customer to replace the 5770s and all the trouble and lack of a new MacPro this year." One peson's comment that their 5600 ATI under Windows runs fine? - this is not the first time an issue with an ATI Radeon and CS.
So get rid of the ATI or use it for monitor and let a GTX do the 3D and other work it is designed for.
And we still live where GHz matter the most and 6-core 3.4GHz instead of 2.4GHz even if the later has 8 or 12 cores.
The GPU acceleration in Photoshop CS6 works perfectly on my MacBook Pro (2.2 Ghz - AMD Radeon HD 6750M - 16 GB RAM) and can not be enabled on Mac Pro (2.4GHz 12 cores - ATI Radeon HD 5770 - 26GB RAM) as well?
I've done all the tests and there's nothing wrong with the hardware. It really can only be a mistake of drives and systems.
