    Dprough,

    I'm having the same problem, and it worked before I upgraded.
    Apple please fix (screen shots below show iSight camera isn't on the USB, and also the error when attempting to use any camera application IE: Photobooth, FaceTime, etc...

    Same here on my MBPr.. I just hope it's fixable by software or firmware update and that apple will do that soon since I didn't try the camera before installing Mountain Lion so I'm not sure if mine is a hardware problem or not.

    Man, no skype, facetime, nothing with a camera after mountain lion. What the **** do I do. No Apple store in my area. If they fix one of yours and tell you what they did, PLEASE let us know. I can't skype with family and this computer isn't but 6 months old. MBP

    Exact same issue - hope a fix comes soon - looks like it is expecting HD (like in the newest airs) but gives up when there is only SD....

    Kinda same problem.. No official Apple store in my country and I have doubts that apple authorized reseller here will try to fix it but mess something else in my less than a month old MBP Retina. and yeah they don't do exchanges here..

    Atleast hoping since it's a widespread issue that Apple will look into it and fix via Software/Firmware updates soon. although I'm kinda worried since I didn't try the camera before updating to mountain lion.

    Mine is a new MBP Retina so it's Facetime HD camera but it doesn't work as well.

    I don't know how to tell everyone at once so if you know how please get this around the forums;

    With the computer off, using the left side of the keyboard press and hold;

    Shift

    Control

    Option

    and the power key for 5 seconds

    1.....2.....3....4.....5...

    then let go of them all at the same time

    Nothing will appear to have happened-   Turn your computer back on and open facetime- YEAAAAH Buddy! Just worked on mine and feel its my duty to tell others. No clue how to post in all. Thanks to a sweet girl named Rachel at Applecare.
