Same here. I was getting 6+ hours on Lion and now I hardly get 3 hours on Mountain Lion. Hopefully Apple releases an update to this soon.

I have the same problem. I bought the new 2012 Air 13" i7 modell and after the mountain lion upgrade my battery time has actually gone down almost 50%. Does the mountain lion have A LOT of programs running in the background compared to the lion OSX? The difference is significantly big.

I noticed the same problem. I have the 2011 13" MacBook Air and after upgrading from Lion to Mountain Lion my battery seems to decreased a lot quicker than it did on Lion.

I have the same MacBook and the same problem of battery time burn. And I notice that my computer runs much slower. Is your computer slower?

I have not noticed that it has become slower, but I haven't really used the computer for more than internet surfing since the upgrade. So I have to test this.

Any theories behind what happened there? Mountain Lion constantly attempting to index unused files from the previous version? I'm curious.

Hi, I posted earlier that my battery had been reduced by 50%. It is approximately one week since I installed the Mountain Lion. My battery is actually back to normal now! I got almost 11 hours on my macbook Air 13" i7 yesterday (minimal use). Which is about the same as before the upgrade. So it seems that the system needs a couple of days to adjust/index/whatever..
The system is working perfectly now, including my battery

I'm having the same issue with my MacBook..it's becoming a challenge to see which needle drops quicker...the needle on the gas gauge on my SUV or my macbook with Mountain Lion loaded...I hope a fix is coming soon!!!

Same here. Installed 10.8 on a 2011 17" MacBook Pro. Battery life decrease dramatically. On 03 August battwry charge decreased to 28% [0:45 mins remaining] within 2.0 hours. Today after >1.5 hours of usage 77% charge remaining [5:19 time remaining]. Getting better.
