Hi All,

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, my iMac (2011) no longer automatically goes to sleep when left inactive for a period of time.

When I force the iMac to sleep, it wakes up again a few minutes leter.  Prior to the upgrade it would sleep fine (and I have not changed any settings etc).

Another issue (which could be related).  Since upgrading to Mountain Lion my Western Digital Hard Drive (which I use for my Time Machine backups) seems to unmount after a period of time.  The drive is still attached and I can manually remount the drive using Disk Utility but after a period of time the drive unmounts itself.

There is no error message though (so it does not think it was an unsafe mount).

Having same problem.  WD Studio 3TB.  Its my iTunes media drive.  My Time Machine is a Lacie Network drive and stays connected for TM.  However my Superdrive will constantly spit put DVDs when I load them.

Something is definitely wrong.  2010 imac 27" QC i7 here.  Ive been working with Apple.  I have more to report to them tomorrow.  So we will see what happens.
