Windows runs natively when you install it on its own partition so you only have to be concerned about the amount of RAM when using it under a VM. You are more than fine with 8GB as long as you have about 50GB to allocate to Windows and still have 30% (20% minimum) for OS X to function - or about 80-100GB free space now.
