If you notice a drastic change you would look at changing the channel on thwe router using airport utility

Aug 4, 2012 2:32 PM in response to kayewilkinsby Lionking2012,The Ethernet speed is 4mbps upload and download. However speedtest shows results as 3.30mbps download and 3.66mbps upload. However the YouTube downloads are slow. Netflix downloads are good.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

Aug 4, 2012 3:25 PM in response to Lionking2012by kayewilkins, well if your ethernet connection is 4MPBS or slower.
I would be calling your internetsurvice provider and ask them what you payign for and explained to them what speed your getting and see what they can do about increasing it.
Netflix is deisgned to run on lower speed becasue of there servers so you can run it on slow connection wiht out flow.

Jul 7, 2013 10:57 AM in response to Lionking2012by Bob Timmons,My current speed if 4mbps download and upload synchronous.
It takes along time to download YouTube videos.
I find that 15-20 Mbps is about the minimum Internet download service that will provide decent and reliable general performance. 10-12 Mbps might work OK if the iPad has a strong connection and is close to the wireless router.
Check with your Internet Service Provider to see if they can offer you a faster plan. Otherwise, there really isn't much that you will be able to do to improve things on You Tube, which uses faster servers than other services like Netflix, etc.
