Aug 5, 2012 2:15 PM in response to tkgreerby Texas Mac Man,These "lamp" iMacs http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/specs/imac_700_fp.html came with OS 9.2.2 pre-installed. If OS 9.2.2 is not now installed, you need the original install DVD to install it. Apple no longer has these installers, so you'll have to find on a source like eBay.

Aug 5, 2012 5:06 PM in response to tkgreerby MlchaelLAX,The early iMac G4 "Lamp" computers had OS 9.2.2 preinstalled and later ones had OS X installed.
These can run Tiger and Tiger can have the Classic Environment (Mac OS 9.x) installed which will also run your software.
Lastly you can run the Mac OS emulator SheepShaver on either the iMac G4 or iMac G5 (or even today's modern computers.

SheepShaver requires a Classic ROM and quite a bit of setup, but there is now a fully contained version, Chubby Bunny, available: Google the term "Classic-On-Intel v 4.0.1 chubby bunny"
