Q: The file “Untitled.pages-tef” couldn’t be opened.

Same problem, started this week. Happening over and over and over. Sometimes quitting Pages and restarting works. Sometimes now. Get it together Apple.

Better tell Apple about this prblem. The people in the forum are just end users like you and can't do anything about it.

What worked for me was going in to "Settings", unchecking Documents & Data, rechecking it and restarting Pages.

It took some time for all my Pages Documents to reappear, but this has cured it for over a week!

I'm having the same problem. Very frustrating. Closing and restarting Pages didn't help.

Kreklo: Where in 'Settings' did you uncheck documents and data?

Sorry for not clarifying. System Preferences-iCloud-Documents & Data. Uncheck and re-check solved my problem. Have had zero issues since.

    Just an FYI - Another work around if you need to save the document before quitting is to click on the name of the document at the top of the page and select rename, and then type whatever you want and use the regular save function as opposed to "Save As..."

     It's a little annoying that a year later and this problem persists. I hope you get on this Apple. It seems the cloud is still quite buggy. I have had years of issues with iMatch not working correctly, ever since it came out, though a recent work around fixed my issue finally.

     About to try your fix now Kreklo, if I don't repost then it worked. Thank you, ;-)
