Removed my response. I did not read the question correctly.

This from Myra J on previous post 10.7.4 issues with internet sharing that I know you ave been on... it has worked for me this evening. Well worth the $20 but not as soon as I installed it. First I had to go through both of Myra's suggestions. Good LuckRe: 10.7.4 Issues with sharing Internet Connection
The upgrade to ML didn't work for me immediately. I did do two things, I think the second fixed it. First on my iMac, in Network preferences, I deleted the Airport from the list on the side. Then I reestablished a new Airport (click the + at the bottom of the list of connections in the left column). That didn't seem to work, but next I did Network diagnostics, and it totally restored my sharing my Internet Sharing and I was even able to set a password again.
I hope this explanation is coherent and helps you. If you have a mid-2011 iMac, it should fix the problem. Good luck.

Installing Mountain Lion removed my computer as a network, so even though I set up network sharing preferences it just wouldn't work (displayed airport as normal wifi rather than with the little computer signal that activates when sharing is on).
I then just went to the airport setting and hit "create network" and it worked fine from there.
Hope this helps others if the above doesn't work :-)
