Aplitap- how long does it take for them to populate the info for your case after you managed to lookup the duns number?

This applies to those that have a DUNS number and continue to receive the following error message:
"Cannot verify your company as a legal entity"
Apple attempts to retrieve data from specific fields in your DUNS profile. If the data is invalid or missing, Apple will return an error. Many of us, including myself, have a DUNS number but never filled out our online D and B profile. Unfortunately, this where Apple is attempting to retrieve the data from. You can update your profile via the D&B iUpdate website. This is free of charge and should resolve the issue. Keep in mind that once you update your profile, you are still subject to the lame 7-14 day propogation issue. Why Apple requires 14 days to update their query results is beyond me.

Thanks for the info, I'm having the EXACT same problem, apparently my company type (LLC vs Inc. etc) is missing, could you please share the URL of this D&B Profile update form? Thanks!

Thanks ITsyseng, unfortunately it seems that the form is restricted to US companies only (since I'm being forced to pick a US state from the dropdown) so I'm back to square one

@medinetik : you can access and modify your D&B info here > http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform/searchAction.do

Worked for me, thanks! They did mention that updating my profile might take 1 to 7 business days and that they might contact my company to verify data, so I guess all that is left is crossing fingers and hope that soon Apple will get all the info they need.

I got this from D&B this morning:
THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE GENERATED BY THE D&B D-U-N-S REQUEST PORTAL.
Thank you for using the D&B Web Form process. Unfortunately, we were unable to fulfill your request based on the reason(s) at the end of this message.
Please contact D&B in the U.S. at 703-807-5733 or email SAMhelp@dnb.com for follow-up.
Reason for Denial : this company works with Apple, not the US Government.
So I guess this won't work for me I called D&B Mexico again and the lady at the phone confirmed that A) I'm not the only one with this problem, there's a lot more companies having the same issue since January, and that B) The way to fix it is to go through Apple support, who then will turn the case to a D&B agent who will ultimately match/fix/add whatever piece of information is missing from my profile, sigh, is it me or this whole process (supposedly easier than faxing the deed of property of the company BTW) is a lot of overhead? Now I'm just afraid that at some point both D&B and Apple will start balming at each other with my company trapped in the middle.

I too am having the same problem. D&B Mexico have refered me to Apple and Apple in turn refers me to D&B. It has become really frustrating, it has been a month now and there seems to be no end to this problem. The closest we got to any resolution was by calling Apple Support in the US, they said that all that was missing from our profile was our company type (LLC, Corporation, etc) we checked back with D&B and they told us it was updated, that we should wait 15 days. Well it has been mor than 15 days and the issue persists.

So, D&B Mexico told you that they updated your profile? They told me that they couldn't do that, sigh.

I honestly think they just told me that to get rid of me at the moment. I'll keep trying though.

Well, let's stay in touch. Hopefully sooner or later we'll be able sort this thing out and help each other out.

Quick question, did Apple support ever assign your case to a senior consultant? Or is it still being handled by "regular" phone/email support?

Thank you indeed, your instruction solved our case and we submitted our enrolment successfully. We had this problem since a month ago and we were not able to get clear answer neither from Apple Support nor D&B.
