Q: Malware removal

I have followed the steps to remove MacKeeper Malware except I cannot drag the app ex. to the trash and/ or remove it completely. Any further thoughts

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Are you referring to step 8:
"Locate the app ex. MacDefender, MacSecurity, MacProtector or other name" ?

I think the ex. is short for example. The name you are looking for is the name of the process you quit at step 5.
