At one time I set up bootcamp to use Windows Xp. I had partitioned my HD. How do I remove that partition? I am running Mountain Lion OS.

Assuming you used Boot Camp Assistant to create the partition, use Boot Camp Assistant again and select the menu option to remove the partition and return the disk to a single OSx partition.

Bootcamp assistant no longer seems to have that option - at least not on my system.

I took my son's old mini, pulled the drive and put it in an external enclosure and installed a larger one. Now I want to remove bootcamp from the old drive, but the only options I see in the assistant are to download new apple drivers or to install Win 7.

Well if you removed the drive containing Windows from the computer that is why the option to remove Windows is not in Bootcamp Assistant. Bootcamp Assistant can only work with your internal drive.

You could format the external drive. Formatting will remove everything.

With windows 7 installed with bootcamp you can just use the guide to uninstall, just for other users woundering. I just uninstalled my 100gb partions and everything worked nice.

I just started bootcamp assistant and just choose it. But here is a guide i found, Mountain lion looks a bit differnt but almost the same.

    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3955314?start=0&tstart=0

So just go to Applications then in Applications go to the Utilities folder, inside the folder you got Bootcamp assistance. Just start it and it will recognize your partition, and you can do it like i did.

When i did it i just got one option, "remove windows 7 partition".

If you installed windows 7 with bootcamp assistance there is no problem. When you installed windows7 one step was to install apples updateservice and drivers with windows 7 if you completed this step you should se a gray rectangle in the activityfield in windows, just right click and choose "reboot in OS X". Or when the computer starts (before the star sound) press and kerp holding the option key or key with marked "alt". After a fee seconds you can choose wich one to choose.

    Hope you understood me!
