Q: No Airplay on my macbook Pro actualized :(

I have a "late 2011 MacBook Pro" since june, 2012; of course actualized since some days ago with Mountain Lyon... and I also have my apple TV 5.0.2 actualized and started, in the same wifi network.

All is correct but it's impossible... I can`t see AirPlay icon on my menu bar or screen monitor window so... how can I do/repare it!?

    Hello Vazandrew,

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I already cheked both links before post yesterday.

I have "MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011)" and I verified info about Airplay. I have a correct MacBook but it behaves like an old one

I know my Apple TV runs well since I use it with an iPhone 4S and iPad, but I can't run Airplay from the MacBook.

I was waiting for Lyon Mountain and got a remote control compatible with both (Apple TV and Mac Book) waiting to use this new feature but right now I'm a little frustating.

    Thanks again for your help.

If you've verified your model is compatible, ATV is up to date and Mountaion Lion is installed and you can't mirror then I suggest you take the unit in to see where the issue lies on your system

    Hi alEjitus,

I have the same issue.  Did you ever figure out what the problem connecting to airplay was?

    Thanks,

I am having this issue as well. I have made an appointment with the apple store. According to the apple support page: "Note: If you don't see AirPlay Mirroring in Display Preferences, then your Mac model does not support it." This is contradicting because the page also says if you have a Macbook Pro Late 2011 model, your model does support it. This might be a manufacturing issue, or something else. I will find out and repost when I get an answer.

Have you searched the other threads here on this topic? There are several "screen casting" programs that conflict with AirPlay. You need to be certain they have been completely uninstalled, ideally using the vendors' installers. And of course, you shoud review the details here Use AirPlay to display video from your Mac on an HDTV - Apple Support

You might also start a new thread, since this one's very old. Be sure to describe your computer and software version, and the version and software of your ATV. Describe what you have tried and exactly what the problem is. Sometimes it's a network problem, where the computer cannot see ATV when it announces its services.
