Just back from the Genius Bar:

    - All the hardware tests are ok and no other feedback from apple

    - I've been advice to keep my MBPr and wait for an update as it seems that it's not an hardware failure

So exit the magic mouse, back to a logitech (which also works at 2,4 ghz but through radio) when I'm not at home. At home I'll check if my Time Capsule is 5ghz capable to get ride off the issue.

At office I ask for the channel to be switched to a channel where the noise is less, but it didn't solved the issue.

My main issue is while I'm travelling most off the "public" wifi Hôtel, Office, Mac Do etc... are 2,4 ghz, so ...

I had this problem on my Macbook pro with retina. When I would wake it up from sleep the wifi would cut in/out for a few seconds then work. And when it was sleeping it would drop wifi (downloads would pause).

This is what I did today and so far it's fixed the problem:

    1)reset smc

    2)reset pram

    thanks DesMoZ.

I can confirm and report the exact same problem.

Got my Macbook Retina today and Wifi was very slow (unusable!) when bluetooth was turned on.

Using a 5Ghz wifi at home now, but this is only a workaround because outside of my home there are only 2,4ghz networks (airports, hotels, offeices, conferences, etc).

I am having the same problem. I have dual band at home so I will have to try the wifi there, but at work I can't run BT and WIFI at the same time. It's sounds like its a software issue? Does this mean we are expecting a patch-fix? I bought my computer less than a week ago and I really like as someone else said earlier, for $2300 EVERYTHING should work perfectly.

This is what I done after the first call to Care, but the issue came back.

I don't understand how the sleep issue relates to the bluetooth/wifi issue.

Has anyone ventured to try this using bootcamp windows? That should determine if its a software or hardware issue....

Having the same issue with MBP Retina. Even have put Mountain Lion on and still have same issue. Not fun trying to use BT headsets and wifi at same time on con call.

    Thaughtless,

Which BT headset are you using ? Is that the only Bluetooth device you are using ? What is the signal strength of the wireless network you are connected to ? ( Hold down Option and click on WiFi Menu Extra to see the RSSI value). Are you connected on channels 1 to 11 ?

    I have tried 2.4Ghz channel 6 wifi-n and 2.4Ghz channel 11 wifi-g at separate locations. Same results.

I just tried this, So far it seems to have worked for me also. I am at almost 10 minutes now with no problems (used to happen about every 50 seconds when I was listening to iHeart Radio).

Same with me. I tried an SMC reset as well and it appears to have solved the issue. Wifi hasn't stalled once in over an hour, and it used to happen every 5-10 minutes when downloading a file or other heavy network activity. So far, it works perfectly.

So in specific cases there are some workaround but finaly is it normal when you go and buy the best system to be run on the best computer to have that kind of push [ctr] + [option] + [have a look by the window if there is no cloud around] + [wait for two beeps] + [then answer to the question what is the pant's color of your neighboor's mother in law]

Finally it sounds like a broken promise we're all children who were delivered with a faulty game... Hoping that Santa Clauss is having a good support/care.

Same issue here. Brand new Retina MBP and have noticed as soon as I connect my bluetooth headphone (Jabra Halo 2) the wifi drops. It then comes back i.e. skype & dropbox appear connected but actually using the internet is impossible.

I've also fresh installed mountain lion and have the latest updates.
