Q: no es reconocido por mi mac

tengo un ipod que al prenderlo me dice que me conecte a www.apple.com/support/ipod para resorlverlo, resulta que si lo conecto a itunes no aparece el icono del dispositivo...que debo hacer?

iPod classic, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

That sad face icon and support message is usually a good indication of a damaged hard drive meaning you'll need to have the drive or iPod replaced.
