Apple is really good with dealing with thoughts problems. I had a problem with my iPad and they gave me a brand new replacement identical to what I had.
I recommend you go to one of apple's retail stores.

Thanks Florin101. I have an appointment with my local genius this afternoon at 5.20pm GMT(BST). I will let you know what the resolution is. MY problem will be demanding a replacement for something they don't have in stock. I was the first person to pick up the top spec MBP Retina at my local store (I had to insist they didn't clap me out of the store and cheer...) But I know they don't have any more 'hen's teeth rare' top spec models in stock.
Thanks for responding so quickly.
