I have recently installed Pages on my iPad.  My problem is that I cannot connect to the Cloud when I want to save or open documents.  It keeps only giving me the iDisk option, which has been discontinued.  I have the settings set up for the Cloud with regard to Documents and Pages.  How can I replace the iDisk option?

iPad, iOS 5.1.1, 16GB

It should happen automaticly without any need to do anything. Are you finding that your docs are not available on another device also connected to icloud?

When I use Pages on my MacBook, I have the option to save to iCloud.  Only on the iPad version of pages does it only give me the iDisk option (not iCloud), and so when I click on it, I get the message that iDisk is no longer functioning.

Yes, it works differently on iOS and on OS X.  You don't choose in the app on iOS, it just happens if you have iCloud set up appropriately.  Again, do you not have your iPad Pages docs available on you Macbook from the iCloud?

I am having trouble saving to the cloud from Numbers on the iPad.

I click the wrench icon, select share and print, but no cloud option. only copy to idisk.

Using the first gen ipad if that makes a difference.

Tom, how do you share/save from numbers to the cloud on the ipad?

As long as you have turned on documents/data in the settings for iCloud on your iPad, it should happen automatically.  The wrench icon is irrelevant for iCloud.

    Tom,

Yes, the documents are available in the cloud on my Mac.  I think it is the "wrench" icon in the iPad version that is throwing me, since I thought I had to "send" it to the cloud or dropbox.  But it looks ok now.  Thanks.

I see it too. If you set your Settings - icloud- sign in your account, then documents and data is turned on.

I had to go to www.icloud.com and select iWork and found all the doc on my ipad were on the icloud, which is accessable to numbers on my mac running mountain lion.

    It just works.
