Q: how do I block unwanted callers

Can anyone help with this problem? Does the iPhone4 even have the capability of blocking calls?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

    Call your carrier and ask them to block the callers. It is the only way that really works. Your caller can block the call at their server and it never gets to your phone.

     

    Most of the apps that claim to do it in fact don't.

    The iPhone does not have the ability to block calls. What some people do is create a blank ringtone and assign that to the numbers you want to block. Then you won't hear the call come in. If you really want to block the number, you'll have to ask your cell carrier.

    not only carriers do but chk.nokia ovistore they have a lot of things like this,and some carriers have limited access.iphone is suppose to have a better application,its very unfortunate,thats all iam missing on my machine

    On iPhone4,..Open "Phone".. tap  "Recents" ...tap the "I" to the right of the callers number, scroll down and tap "Block this Caller".  (The same can be done from "Contacts")

    Go into Phone => Recents and locate the phone number you want to block.  Tap the little information symbol on the right hand side of the contact (blue lower case i in a circle) and then scroll to the bottom of the information page for that number and tap the Block this Caller label.

     

    You of course have to leave this number in your list of recent calls or it will remove the block.
