Until recently I lived in Colombia where I set up an App Store account through which I downloaded several apps.  I am now living in Mexico and had to set up yet another account, with which I have purchased other aps, as well as songs.

When I see the red circle on top of the AppStore icon telling me I have updates, normally I have to logout from the mexican account, log in to the colombian account (not before a warning message that says such account is valid only on Colombia... ???), updating and then doing the whole process all over again (logging out, logging in).  Is it possible to "pack" all of my downloads (songs, apps, movies eventually) under one account?

It is possible that I keep moving around because of work... does that mean that, i.e. if I get transfered to the USA I have to set up a THIRD account? If I then move to, say, Italy, I would have to set up a FOURTH account? Bear in mind that each account needs a different email address!!

Thank you for your help.

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.

Yours has been a unique way of handling the situation, creating a new Apple ID for each country. Apple will not mege Apple IDs. So you will need to maintain the two separate accounts to retain and update the content of each one.

Other folks have kept the same Apple ID and changed the country inside of the account. This presents other issues. To use the iTunes/Mac App Store of a particular nation you need a bank card from a bank in that nation with a verifiable billing address for the bank card in that nation. Also, folks have had issues with the content of their account from the various country's stores appearing their account. Also, if an app that needs an update is not available in the country where they reside, it often can't be updated.
