Q: specific configuration while configuring a roaming network connected via ethernet
specific configuration while configuring a roaming network connected via ethernet
I have 3 Airport Extreme 4th gen. connected as on the article. I have connected the primary device to a switch which manages the dns and dhcp of the entire network. This is why i didnt select the Share a Public IP option at the primary AXtreme station. All of them are on bridge mode and i followed the instructions of the tutorial.
The channel is on Automatic on each station and they have the same manually set IP address. Does this configuration is correct? I dont know if each station should be using a different IP address.
Another question is if this model will function if the primary station is not configured as Share public IP isntead of Bridge mode as the secondary stations.

Not correct. Every device on the network must use a different IP address. it would be much easier if you configure each AirPort to connct using DHCP and obtain an IP address automatically from the "upstream" router or switch.

Yes, it will function fine if all the AirPorts are in Bridge Mode.
