I have a brand new 6th Gen Nano.  Can I use a non-Apple adapter?  The input is 100/240V, 50/60Hz, 0.5A

The output is 5.0V and 1.9A.

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered many times, but I'd appreciate an answer again.

Thanks!

If the adapter has a USB port on it, where you can plug in your standard USB docking cable, it should be designed to work with ANY device that charges using a USB connection.  So it should work, unless it is faulty.

The exception would be for a device that needs higher power, such as an iPad or maybe the latest iPhone.  For an iPod nano, there should not be a need for a higher power connection.

Thanks a bunch!  I didn't want to fry it on the second day I had it, and I was hoping I wouln't have to purchase yet another adapter to travel with.

    I appreciate the help.
