I have recently had a HD transplant on my iMac. Unfortunately, while the Mac was in the shop the bloody external drive I had Time Machine on....FUSED... and died.

Of course this has meant re-installing Logic Pro 9 along with everything else.

My problem is....I have been using samples on an external G-Drive up until now, but now Logic fails to see the files.

I made an alias of the sample folder on the external drive and put in the Application Support folder in Logic, and though it sees some , it doesn't see all, and particularly those I like to use most frequently.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

If it sees some but not all, it could be permissions problems (not the kind Disk Utility fixes). It also may have something to do with your directory structure. These can be addressed with Terminal and basic Unix commands, which I assume you know if you already have made a symbolic link to the external drive.
