Q: Charge for iRa Pro in my Store account but product was not purchased?

Select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.

This is a phishing email.  Please be aware I contacted Apple Care earlier this morning and they said this has been something they have received calls about all day.  Your account is safe and has not been hacked, be reassured that you need simply delete the email and you will be ok.

got the same email at 7:47 am est.

the scam email originates from cz Czech Republic.

dont click on the links. they go to http://itasite.cz/.

i checked my acct to find no activity.

i think apple should do something about this.

I got it just now! Fortunately paying in dollars when Im in the UK made it automatically suspicious.

hi - unfortunately i did click on the links and was directed to altavista which told me that my account was suspended.  what problems have i incurred by clicking on the links????

Hello, All! It's September 4th and my husband just received this very email stating we'd purchased the "iTunes iRa Pro" for the $922.58 amount. Sent message to iTunes support site about it before seeing your discussion. Thanks for the clarity & assurance.

got the same email. that means my account has been hacked? It will be auto chagre from my credit card?

Have you checked your credit card statement ? The email is a phishing attempt, sent out randomly, in an attempt to get peoples account and payment details - as long as you haven't clicked on any links in the email, downloaded/opened any attachments on it, and entered any details then you should be ok.

I got this email today. I'm waiting to speak to someone at Apple to report it has returned. Then I'll call my credit card company.

I just received the same email, and it really looks authentic. Having never heard of iTunes iRa Pro, I did a search and found this tread. Thank you for sharing this information. I will ignore the email (and monitor my account).

Thanks for sharing about this phishing email , I strongly request APPLE team to track this down as i could see people getting similar emails in this forum  since 2012, I did received the similar mail today on 5th August 2014

These are user-to-user forums, if you still have the email then you could forward it to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com

I have just received a similar email this morning and I can confirm this is just a phishing scam. When I right clicked and then copied the link and pasted it to a text editor, it showed that they want to send you to a compromised WordPress site. If it was legitimate it would have linked to a store.apple.com URL and not steelwater.net/wp-content/themes/...

Just don't click the link and delete the email and you are fine. No charges were made to my account. Nothing was hacked except the unsuspecting website that is sending the spam.
