Q: Time Capsule Administrator

Hi, I have a TC, and was hoping to set up one laptop as the administrator on an existing network. I have access on both laptops equally, but do not want this. How can I make one laptop the admin in order to set up read/write privelages to the rest?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

You can setup user profiles for the TC.. I am not sure if that helps you..

The TC is designed for home networking.. it has minimal security as all I wouild need to do to get access is to press the reset button for 1sec.. which sets all passwords back to default for 5min. I can then save the current setup of the TC with passwords not encypted. Although that may not reveal username and password profiles you created, I can do whatever I like.. reset the whole TC.. gain whatever files I want.. then upload the original configuration to hide my tracks.

Unless you are keeping track of the current snmp logs to remote device.. I would reboot and wipe the log..

So you see, all your security measures are illusions.
